I’m often reminded of what I don’t have in my life because of what one of the other participants says. It hurts like I can’t even say.
Have some of you tried this.
Sometimes the sessions are good though. It’s a gamble..
Mostly it’s if someone is similar to me in age and I’m reminded of what I don’t have and how my life is.

I’m feeling a need to write a lot in here lately. Not a good sign, I guess.

I do know what you mean, and it is hardest, I think, when we Know that it isn't really fair or helpful to make those comparisons (in a way that makes us feel bereft) the emotions run deep. pain/blame/shame/…
But I know there are days I feel lucky to have what I do have. Just can't get there on the bad days...
if this makes any sense

Absolutely. When I compare myself I often get angry and bitter and this turns towards the person. Not really helpful at all. Of course I don't show this to the person.
I should try to focus on what I actually DO have instead. But I can't help it when I see/hear it. It really hurts. Mostly it's because I don't have a close relationship to anyone I can confide in. So when I hear others have it, it really hits home with me and I feel infinitely alone.

Over the years PC has helped me a lot to feel supported and not so alone. Maybe It's not good that I didn't have other people or resources in my life, or better internal resources, but I'm glad PC is here. No blame in getting what's available in this crazy technological world, is my view.

Thanks. You’re right.
I’m grateful for PC too.
