I’m often reminded of what I don’t have in my life because of what one of the other participants says. It hurts like I can’t even say.
Have some of you tried this. Sometimes the sessions are good though. It’s a gamble.. Mostly it’s if someone is similar to me in age and I’m reminded of what I don’t have and how my life is. I’m feeling a need to write a lot in here lately. Not a good sign, I guess.

I do know what you mean, and it is hardest, I think, when we Know that it isn't really fair or helpful to make those comparisons (in a way that makes us feel bereft) the emotions run deep. pain/blame/shame/…
But I know there are days I feel lucky to have what I do have. Just can't get there on the bad days... if this makes any sense

I should try to focus on what I actually DO have instead. But I can't help it when I see/hear it. It really hurts. Mostly it's because I don't have a close relationship to anyone I can confide in. So when I hear others have it, it really hits home with me and I feel infinitely alone.
