first off, i just want to clarify and make known that i mean no disrespect to anyone, any where, at anytime!

last month, my one aunt sent out this 'email' to the relatives, basically saying that we should reply to all with an update on how we are doing. honestly, i think she only did this cuz she was bored/lonely and couldn't go out. but whatever. my one cousin replied saying he was having a hard time cuz he's not a stay-at-home dad. (he's got two kids, ages 10 & 7 i think) and it got me thinking - but i was already kinda thinking this.....

the things people are **tching about- staying at home, not going anywhere, not around others, can't do what they want to/enjoy doing... - that's what people with depression go thru all the f-ing time!

people with moderate/severe depression -> we aren't around a bunch of friends or work-people, we aren't 'out' every day of the week, we usually are isolated or alone, we usually are in one place for over 75% of the time, we have lost the ability to do what we once enjoyed - and all this is done for months at a time, even years!!!!

it just goes to show that most people can't 'handle' what depression really does to those who deal with it on a regular or constant basis! and a part of me laughs at people like my cousin. a person like me will never know what that is like - to be at home with your spouse and kids - but it's hard to deny that i would like to! cuz it's just me in an empty place, alone nearly every single day.

anyways, i better stop before too much more is said. it's just something interesting to ponder..........
