Zombie by The Cranberries
The above is the most sad song that I know but I would also put To the Hellfire by Lorna Shore as a very sad song also. Edit: Now that I think about it the entire Lorna Shore EP: and I Return to Nothingness is quite sad, but also soothing to me. Lately, I have put that in my sleep playlist instead of the usual suspects like Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Joy Division, etc. Is it strange that I use sad songs to help me sleep? __________________ MDD with Psychotic Features, Dysthymia, GAD, Cluster C personality traits - Not taking any meds

There is a trio of songs that describe a certain period in my life
The first one is: Caves by Jacks Mannequin. It reminds me of my first surgery I had in October 2020 and my recovery and then my assement at the psych hospital in December 2020 The second song is Brothers On A Hotel Bed by Death Cab For Cutie. Which reminds me of December 2020. That basically just reminds me of how I felt like my personailty changed after my surgery and how I knew things werent working out with me and my therapist anymore. The last song is Halls by Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness. That reminds me of selling my house, looking for a new house while staying in a hotel for a couple days, and how difficult it was moving on from my old therapist. I played them in a row the other night and I was like whoa does this describe my life from October 2020 until Feb 2022. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

To add to the list, I find the Motorhead song called Don't Let Daddy Kiss Me to be especially sad and depressing. I won't go into details because I'm sure the subject of the song could be triggering, though I'm sure the title alone could be enough for some to get an idea. I'm a huge Motorhead fan, but I find that one hard to listen to. |
