I remember awhile back you wrote that you'd been married 65 years. That is one heck of a long time! Perhaps something happened to suddenly make you question things?

I've been married, myself, for 41 1/2 years.

I'm sorry to hear that, turtle. Sounds as if it was of sudden onset (?) Obviously you're functioning, though...

And of course any sudden change is tough for a spouse to deal with, too.

it started at age 19...i lost my girlfriend suddenly and was depressed for about 2 years...for 2 weeks i didn't say a word...

You must forgive my obtuseness, little turtle. No doubt everyone who has been on this thread for a long time knows all of this about you, whereas I'm just making your acquaintance.

I've had the impression you are EXTREMELY sensitive and take things very hard. But still -- the sudden loss of your girlfriend, that must have been devastating. It's not too surprising to me that you would need to pull into yourself for a while.

mopey the situation was more complicated than just the girlfriend...at the same time my parents both caused a problem for me...but i am not here to defend myself...all i can say is my mental illness is the problem...and it started at that time....do you have any other questions...

No, dear turtle, I don't mean to be intrusive to anyone here.

Practically from birth I've always had an interest in what was going on with people though, particularly at that deep level. What you might call the "quick", of a person. Myself included!
