@SprinkL3, thank you for your supportive message. It really helped. Yea, it makes sense that right now, people may not want to buy art. I also have a lot more to learn. I've only been doing digital art for 3 years.
My books are eBooks on Amazon. I tried to come up with good descriptions and powerful keywords. I used a tool. I've made some sales and I have one book with positive reviews. I guess I just need to be patient. And I need to improve the way I tell stories. I was part of a webinar yesterday that opened my eyes. As far as my music goes, I don't know. I've worked with professionals on some songs, so I know I have good quality. I'm just not catching on. I need a news release. But I have to save money for that. I gave up on my art. I want to give up on my books too. I just do art for fun now. I quit selling it. As for my music, I don't know if I'll continue. In a few months, I will probably quit. Cause I won't be able to afford it. It is what is it. Thanks again, __________________ ‘Live for now,’ ‘This too shall pass,’ ‘Everything is happening for my good.’ |

@Fuzzybear - (((( safe hugs )))) - set your boundaries, avoid triggering and toxic relationships, use communication skills if it is safe to do so, walk away if that is the best thing to do for your overall well-being, take care of you, use a lot of good coping skills, reach out here and to safe friends, do a lot of self-care, and know that you deserve to feel safe, validated, respected, and loved!

If you are struggling all around, see if there are institutions that can offer financial support, training, etc. Do take care of your mental health, and do seek validation and support with all the feelings you are struggling with. This is a tough road for you, especially given all the challenges you've presented online here. I'm so sorry you are struggling with this. I hope that you find something that sparks your interests and passions. I'm thinking of you. Don't give up. |

I'm alone and I'm sad. I'm trying to play a game, but it takes an hour to get in if I'm lucky. I'm trying to be positive.

Sadness is so sad! It hurts a lot! God bless all of you! Let's stick together, ok?

My day is rather terrible. I'm no happier than I was before these strong storms hit. Here I was set to go to town and the person I wanted to go with just changed her mind on me. She wanted her eyeglasses, and I gave her the wrong ones. So, she threw them on the floor. I finally found the right ones after I got rather upset. Plus, I got a rather insulting Christmas gift in the mail and I'm sending it back to that person who intended in trying to change me through this mail. To hell with her. I was almost in tears over all this. I was seething inside. just seething. Here it's the holiday season and I'm feeling rather down. I'm consoled by the fact I'm not the only one having such a rotten day since loads of others probably are especially if they suffered damage or loss to these storms and I pray for all of them who are having such a bad time right now. good excuse to throw this day away. I was so sad that the day I thought would be good turned out to be such a really nasty surprise. It goes to show you how wonderful life seems, I guess.

I just want to drift off to sleep with no worries. Maybe if I meditate first.

There's a book by Marie Kondo called "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up." It discusses how we should only keep items that spark joy and then "thank" the items before donating or discarding them. You have every right to either discard a gift given to you, donate a gift given to you, or simply return the gift! Although the book I mentioned is based on Japanese culture (I'm Japanese American and European American, but don't know much yet about Japanese culture since I was born and raised in the USA), the tenets largely include self-care, boundaries, and healthy (not toxic) positive psychology. In American culture and individualism philosophy, you have every right to do what makes you happy, and to set boundaries to protect yourself. This means that if you feel that there is a disrespect in the gift given to you, you can simply return the gift back to the sender (if the mail allows), mail it back to the sender, discard it, or donate it. But, if the relationship is important to you, or if clearing the air is necessary, then communicating with the person about how their gift and gestures affect you and your overall well-being will hopefully clear the air between the two of you, or set necessary boundaries so that you aren't "harassed" by the person's gifts anymore. The person might think they are helping, but really they are hurting you. You could explain why if you want to keep the relationship, or you can say that this relationship isn't worth keeping, so go ahead and speak your mind and return the gift back. You don't owe an apology for that boundary, nor do you need to thank a person for something that was a clear insult. If, however, the person was just following their religious leaders or something, that's more of a cultural indoctrination that makes it harder for a person to judge whether their intentions on gift-giving are truly for caring for you versus being harshly judgmental and bordering on harassment. Even solicitors from certain religious organizations will be sanctioned if they are harassing community members, so you have an individual right to not be solicited from personal relationships either. I hated when judgmental religious people would spiritually and ritualistically abuse me in childhood and adulthood, and I have since learned at a trauma treatment hospital how to heal from spiritual abuse and ritual abuse, as such are extreme versions of trauma that cuts to our very core of who we are, how we self-express, how we identify in the world, etc. So you have every right to set boundaries as to what you believe is appropriate for yourself, and to refuse items that are a direct insult to you, regardless of the other person's intentions. It's time that people learn "tolerance," "diversity," "inclusion," and "equity" in the form of avoiding judgments, harassments, arguments, stress, hate, and more. People can believe whatever they want, but to push that on you is a form of stress, if not trauma, depending on the circumstance. I'd vent in the same way you did, too, and I have vented those ways! Kudos to you for standing up for yourself! |

Thank you. That cheered me up just now. If only I could get rid of this rotten feeling though.

To all us angry misfits - I hope we all have a great holiday - whether we celebrate it or not, whether we are alone or not, and whether we are still angry or not.

Thank you! I'm doing better today. I need to lower expectations and work on my journal. I did a lot in my journal. I do meditations, affirmations, quotes, journal prompts, DBT and CBT.
