Not sure if I’m lazy or it’s depression or both (diagnosed with depression unspecified or the like, it’s been a while) but I have trouble doing simple tasks. I can do whatever it is that I don’t have to do within a certain timeframe and shoot myself in the foot by leaving everything for the next day.

Something I just remembered was when I was at the pediatrician’s office with my mom’s fiancée at the time. I slid my school uniform shoes off with my feet instead of unvelcroing them with my hands and taking them off that way. He said something about how I was lazy just like my sisters (who aren’t lazy, thank you very much). I was in elementary school, probably third or second grade and it took me aback so I just said “Okay” and sat on the exam table staring at the ground. He said something after that to me but I don’t remember. The way it made me feel was horrible and I remember not being angry but just this odd feeling of “what?”

He hasn’t lived with us for three years and I hate thinking about him. I thought moving away from the state I grew up in would change things but it didn’t — I know that running doesn’t help now though. It’s tiring to think about the eggshells we had to walk on to not make him be mean.

The "In-Private Browsing" function on my laptop suddenly doesn't work today. I don't know why. My hands are cold. Just took my second dose of Clonazepam & now I'm choking on the water I'm washing it down with. It's snowing outside. So, after dinner, I'll be taking the dog out in the snow for her final walk of the day. Ho-hum-m-m-m...

Not about the ''situation'' in the world.

I've been watching syndicated programming on independent tv stations for distraction today. I think following my instincts to do that was a good idea.

Today was vacuuming day for me again. (Every Monday is vacuuming day.) It always wears me out. Nothing else to say really... and no energy to say it even if there was.

Today is a bit difficult for me. I'm depressed over something that happened yesterday and I can't seem to shake it. It's the middle of the night and I can't sleep. I wish I could find something to help me feel better. I might try some meditations. I have a playlist on Spotify. It's about an hour long. I bet that would help me sleep.

It's weird the things that can make me suddenly feel

I spoke to my new optician today (who I've never met in person). He was friendly, and asked a few questions. The conversation ended like this:

Optician: (in a caring, interested voice) And how IS your sight?
Purple:

His interest in my well-being left me with this powerful, yearning ache.
