Hello Leathethelone: I see this was your first post here on PC. Welcome to Psych Central. (I see you also posted a reply in DocJohn's Grief & Loss forum introductory thread.)

You're certainly correct the Depression forum is a place to share & listen. However, before you are likely to receive much in the way of support, you need to post a thread of your own either in the Depression forum or, perhaps, in the Grief & Loss forum since it sounds as though you've suffered more than your share of that. That's the way to begin getting the support you came here looking for.

In the meantime, here are links to 4 articles, from Psych Central's archives, on the subject of grief & loss as well as on the subject of complicated grief:

Coping with Grief | Psych Central

What is Complicated Grief?

Complicated Grief: How to Get Unstuck

Grief and Loss Quiz

I hope you will be able to find PC to be of benefit.
