I'm doing well today. I think my increased Effexor is already helping. And things are going well in therapy.

Things were really rough today. But I feel ok now after my night meds.

It just comes like clockwork and there's not much to do about it. One can only hope some solution will come one day.

My depression wasn’t the issue today. Anxiety was. The Covid news is so up and down. One minute they are saying things are looking good. Then an hour later they contradict everything they had just said. But it wasn’t really affecting me today.

I feel a bit sad today. It's not as bad as it has been. I think sleep will help me. But I'm wide awake at the moment. I've been keeping myself busy. I guess I can keep going until I wear myself out.

This is not my best morning. I asked in a short prayer for some strength so I can try harder to do better & apologized for being this way.

I'm feeling somewhat alright today. For some strange reason, I don't feel as bad now, being a Saturday afternoon, as I have from the past. Did my usual cleaning, laundry, and shopping. I won't be going on a bike ride later on because it's raining very heavily. It may be that way tomorrow. Oh well!

When I did my major shopping, I forgot to get a pound of butter. I was horrified when I realized my mistake. So I had to go to a store that's not too far away but has a reputation for high prices. Well, I got a pound of butter that turned out to be the same price as what I could have purchased at the store I normally shop at. And it's a well known brand, too!

I don’t have any bad thoughts but I do have the Saturday night blues I usually get. I’m going to bed much later then I normally do.

It's a typical Sunday for me. Early this morning I went to store, unexpectedly, because I forgot to get something yesterday. I really hate that. At the little "strip mall" where the store is, there were some small exercising businesses and people were working out. I felt somewhat ashamed of myself because I wish that I could be that disciplined for it. They were working out outside in the damp and cold and didn't have much clothing on.

This morning I was making my spaghetti sauce that will last me for a month. It's slow simmering right now. Later on I plan on a longer bike ride. It looks like it's going to be a nice day to do it. Yesterday I didn't go on a ride because it rained.

I felt very depressed when I got up this morning, but feeling a little bit better now.

I went on that bike ride today. It was a very nice day as it was brisk, cool, and sunny. I was on the phone with my sister today. It went alright but I noticed that she seems to be having memory problems. It reminded me of what it was like when my late mother started having dementia. My mother's dementia came on very slowly and subtle. And then it went out of control later on and it continued to get worse until she passed away. Other people have told my sister that they've noticed her memory lapses. My sister feels very sure that she will never get dementia or Alzheimer's. My mother was like that, too.
