anyone else think that all these parodies poking fun at covid is a bit much?
today, I heard the 12 days of lockdown (parody of 12 days of christmas), and I can't help thinking it's a bit much all over the world their are people's lives put on hold by the virus, and somewhere in america you've got a group of people who don't care and just make fun of it is it just me? I know 2020's been a rough year and we need a laugh and some happy thoughts, but at covid's expense? |

Dear ragingvortex,
I am not a big fan of dark humor of any kind. Perhaps, in my case, this is due to my strange love of it when I was younger. I definitely see your point. Sincerely yours, Yao Wen |

In the human services professions we used to call this sort of thing "gallows humor". There's a place for it. Sometimes it's necessary in order to keep doing what one does knowing, in the long run, it won't really make much of any difference at all.
