I also request no mention of the ''current events'' which I require to get away from at least in here to remain alive.

I completely understand if nobody wishes to join me in this thread

Dear Fuzzybear, We both play the piano to get away. Do you feel that music is a special language throughout the world that's meant to be, especially within ourselves? III II III II III

I agree, music has ''saved my life'' a few times

Sorry to talk about ''him'' again (everyone ''repeats'' themselves about some things....)... He even was brutal about my piano playing... I just do not get it. I must have been so ... to put up with him for more than 5 minutes (that brutally abusive ''therapist''

I have been neglecting the piano lately. I ''need'' more human interaction. Or my cub does But humans keep on hurting me... so maybe I will talk to my piano more again :-)

Thank you for joining me in the Low Functioning Thread, I'm Proud to be Low Functioning

Beating myself up for every little thing never did ''help''... and that was the way the ''professionals'' attempted to ''help''

Insane.

We all have a deep desire for human contact.

A need to belong....

In a world where so few accept us.

I wish there was a place we could all go, where we would be accepted AS IS.

"Low-functioning" is an accurate description of myself at times throughout my life. It is true of my state for many years now.

Me too dear Rohag.

Must we function at the normal rate?

Is as much as we can manage enough?

I try really hard. I am learning to accept me. It is a degree liberating.

I used to write ''report cards'' for my dolls when I was 5 I don't think I knew how to play with dolls (or to play at all ) On one of the doll's report cards, I wrote ''K tries hard but does not make much progress''..Ouch. That does not seem ''normal'' for a 5 year old to be so concerned with things like that. At the end of the first year, the teacher said that a few girls would stay down ''to help with the new girls''... they named someone with the same name as me. I felt horrified... and shame But it was not me. The teacher said it in a nice way... so why so much shame? I was the youngest in the class. I had not learnt how to use scissors at age 6 (not ''normal'' we were not taught this at school. So all the others were able to use scissors. Not ''normal'' - me (The parents did not want to buy child scissors, a ''waste of money'' and I was ''not dextrous''... well, having no bricks or toys except a couple of dolls and stuffies did not ''help''.. but i was, apparently, ''emotionally immature'' and intrinsically Wrong. I also now think it was neglectful not buying me one barbie or sindy. These parents were very rich... loaded in fact. Of course, it was too ''common'' and I would be ''demanding clothes''.. or whatever. Grrrrrrrrrr. I did not like the second hand rags I had to wear. I wear usually wear rags now too. (not second hand though) (I was taught that clothes are a ''waste'' of money. That ''lesson''' has stuck.) So not only am I low functioning, I am ''not even decorative''... Papa bear does not say this, a former abusive boyfriend said it. I am not sure why I have ''always'' attracted so many abusers. I guess as they would say I am .... ************

learning how to eat them?

Why do I write all this stuff? Rhetorical question. Grrrrr me.

I think we all ''deserve'' to accept ourselves AS IS and **** anyone who enjoys judging, that is about THEM
(not about anyone on pc)

That is physical neglect, mental torture and emotional neglect that you have suffered.

I was once told by a T that we are responsible for our adult selves. ???

We can try and take responsibility but we have faulty brains.

Our best is good enough. I am trying to learn this...

You are a wonderful, kind and caring person even though your parents sabotaged your happiness in favour of their own.

Thank you for being here Fuzzybear.

Hmmm...
Everyone posting here has
1. survived
2. survived well enough to have some sort of access to the World Wide Web.
These are not insignificant.

On one of the other hands, though, neither #1 nor #2 necessarily lifts our moods.
In fact, for a certain (large?) percentage of people #2 may on the whole be mood-deleterious.

On another one of those hands, I personally like having access to the World Wide Web, and I've built a fair bit of my current life around it.

Good post, I'm (selfishly) glad you're a ''non achiever'' like me (or otherwise maybe you would not be here on pc)

That T sounds very lacking in empathy and social skills. Like far too many in this forest Why ''should'' I deny that TRUTH

I agree, we can try to take responsibility but our brains are ''faulty'' (another mean word though )

I'm also trying to learn that our best is ''good enough''

thank you for being here dear Thirty shades
