Has anyone found that buproprion causes anxiety? I have horrific anxiety and my doctor wants me to decrease my dosage. I'm going to try that since I'm not in a depressive episode right now.

I tried buspirone for anxiety but it did nothing for me.

I tried it once and it made me throw up at work.

Yes--when the dose was too high (300 mg), it made me extremely anxious and unable to sleep (only 1-3 hours a night!). I currently take 100 mg a day (first thing in the morning with my first cup of coffee--it increases the affects of coffee for me!). I also take 25 mg of sertraline a day which seems to help with both my anxiety and depression. Based on my experience with bupropion, I agree with your doctor that you should experiment with decreasing your dosage....

Yes, fairly recently -- within the past year or so. It was an initial, low dose. The doctor took me off it quickly.
