Hi @jrae.

It could mean that you're actually improving psychologically or that, even though you're still inside the dark place, you're actually coping better. It could mean that. I can relate to your post and, for me, if I find that the dark place doesn't seem so dark anymore, and I'm still sticking to a positive path forward, then, hey, it has to be a good sign. It has to be.

Keep going, friend. Keep going. 🙏

oh very much still in the dark place.

been struggling a LOT with some of the 'self - hatred' stuff.
lines like 'you're just a failure', 'you're a terrible/horrible person', 'you're the worst person in the world' ....

i don't think it's more 'improving' so to speak. maybe more along the lines of there might be a part of me starting to believe that s**t :bigsigh:

@Breaking Dawn,

https://mysupportforums.org/7051424-post471.html

yes i did. (sorry for the delay) and i've been doing so terrible these past few months, that i've had my two 'new' kittens for over 5 months and STILL haven't named them! haven't even looked at names

i can't really explain the biggest reasoning behind that, um ........ can't verbalize it yet

[that and i got another concussion brain injury 1 day after getting them - no joke]

Hi @jrae, dear friend. I'm glad you got your kittens. Is your other cat ok? Do they all get along? Could you maybe put a photo of them in your signature for a while? And also maybe you could ask people for suggestions for naming the kittens? I know you love them. And they probably know it, too. I can understand how defeated you must be feeling, with another brain injury on top of everything else. Animals can pick up what we are feeling. Do you sense that from one or more of your kitties? Does one like to be cuddled more? I hope very much that things start to turn around for you pretty soon. Please hang in there, jrae. God bless you!!

Oh, my goodness, jrae. I'm so wishing & praying for something good to enter your life that will help you heal faster. I can't imagine how I would be able to find strength in a situation like yours. I have never been in a major auto accident like yours resulting in multiple brain injuries that are too slow in healing, & now a new one, & having grief on top of that, losing the only person who cared about you, & then your beloved cat. It's way too much for anyone. But you are somehow hanging on! I will continue hoping & wishing & praying for you.
