It seems like most days are the same and I do a lot by myself which is fine a lot of the time. It's just that I feel alone in my hobbies and interests which makes them seem pointless without support or someone to share them with.

I feel that too. I find everything pointless if I can’t really share it with someone.

Good quote! thanks for the support. I guess that's why it can be tough to enjoy doing some activities by yourself.

To care about life might mean that one loves themselves as they are. When there has been hard times loving ourselves is difficult to impossible, because of a belief. For me that belief is that I'm not good enough and then I hate life. It's one difficult cycle to break. I'm not sure how either. Awareness of an issue is the first step towards understanding the solution.

I have had trouble loving myself too at times. It's just that sometimes I have had to try new activities or do something new to break the monotony.

Perhaps meeting some online or real-Life groups whom share an interest in your own hobbies may be a good starting point? i think it may be worth giving that a try. Sending many Safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @modestlychee6463, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

Not loving yourself - is that the result of major rejection? Abandonment? Or just consistent emotional neglect and never receiving love? What do you think?

I'm sorry you're going through this. Does the pandemic have anything to do with it? It's hard to meet new people to enjoy stuff with since we've been all cooped up, though I think getting out will be more possible soon.
Do you have any local depression support groups to meet people you can identify with? |
