May be you can try to fix your day or your week into parts. Two hours to this and four hours of that, or Half of Monday of this and the whole Tuesday for that.

May be you have not put in enough relax time between different doings or may be you have no "marker" for saying to yourself: "Time is out, stop and do the next you have scheduled.

When I feel trapped in one thing, I stop it by laying Cabal. That function like shutting the door for one event and opening it for another one. It takes from three to seven minutes. At least it works.

It is also possible to do three minutes breathing exercises between two "operations"

I wish you well with your planning.

I have had a good day. The dishwasher is empty and I have had a good hike in the rain. I enjoyed it. I have worked a little bit as well and I have been reading stuff related to my work. I will drop to fix the jacket today because I feel I need to continue my reading.

Tomorrow I plan to do this:

- Mend jacket and wash it.
- Go shopping for new clothes
- Use a lot of me-time included in the shopping (a stop at a café).

I send my best wishes for everyone's doings for tomorrow.

Yesterday was pretty good. I worked on my tedious task more than I planned. I cleaned a bit, did some dishes (but not all), cooked, and mapped out my priorities for the next few months, including time estimates. My hope is that this keeps my expectations in check.

This afternoon I have one errand and two meetings. I have a nice time block this morning for focused work.

1. Tedious task.
2. Thursday reading.
3. Exercise

I had a busy and productive day yesterday. I’m going to take it down a notch today. The church is delivering a meal to the house tonight so that helps a lot. Today:

1. Take brother to doctor
2. Spa pedicure
3. Run errands
4. Laundry
5. Mom’s business affairs
6. Take trash out

I hope everyone has a peaceful day!

I slept all day yesterday. Today I am up early journaling. I'm hoping to feel better but I don't. So I will sleep all day again. There's no reason to do anything else.

I have mended the jacket and washed it. I only bought one new t-shirt. Today I was at the gym and the training was so hard that I had to rest in bed afterward. I have been at the grocery shop, but have let this day be an easy one with regard to work.

Tomorrow I will dine out with a friend. No other plans.

I send my best wishes for your doings ...

I stayed up today and did chores. But it wore me out. I didn't really have the energy to work around the house. So I took a nap. I am resting for the remainder of the day. I wonder if I have a bug or if this is side effects of the booster. I hope everyone has a good evening.

Yesterday was okay. I was quite engaged in the morning and went on a brisk walk in the afternoon. I accomplished what I meant to but was pretty useless after 3 PM and fell asleep extremely early. This morning I am off to a slow start. Normally I'd have a few hours of work done by now.

1. Tedious task. The end is in sight. I may try to finish it today in a marathon session.

2. Homework
3. Exercise

I have had a relaxed day today and a visit to a restaurant. I am not going to make other plans for the weekend than shopping, groceries tomorrow and hopefully reach a church at a time when it is not so full on Sunday. Covid is growing again, so I try to be careful.

I hope everyone on the thread will experience a good and relaxed weekend.

I have 7 of 7 appointments for the week behind me now. Yay! I am tired as my brother had 2 back to back appointments this morning and it took 5 hours. I received good news while I was out. I’m scheduled with an excellent orthopedist next week to address the arm I hurt helping my brother up from a fall. I’m really happy about that. I will rest for a little while, enjoy a good meal and then get to work around the house.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Feeling overwhelmed today with the sheer volume of responsibility that I’m shouldering right now. I’m going to make a plan today and look for solutions and opportunities. I’ll also prioritize things.

Hoping everyone has a good Saturday.

The marathon session worked. I finished. I also exercised. No homework, though. I am not sure if I want to add that to the list today or just plan to do it on Monday. It's due Tuesday.

1. Exercise
2. Find something fun to do.
3. Start on homework. Use a timer. Do not overdo.
4. Revise goals for the month.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I did my responsibilities early this morning. I am free at the moment to relax and do what I want. I think I will work on music and do some art. I wish everyone the best! Happy weekend!

Jennifer, I don't know what to say to this. I don't want to hurt you, but I cannot understand that this is America. Where I live we can have help in the home (to do housework) for sick people (long term sick) and it doesn't cost much. We can have a nurse come home to us if we are very sick (long term sick). When my father was ill (terminal) a nurse came every day and looked after him and a GP now and then when he was at his death bed. Sometimes it can happen that there is not enough nurses like now in the pandemic time.

I wish you well living in a situation that puts great demands on you!

I have had a relaxed day today, only visited the grocery shop. I have repeated my CBT techniques and will go to bed soon, up early tomorrow to reach a sermon that is not over crowded.

A continued good weekend!

We have the same availabilities here. My mom is dead set against having help come in so it’s been difficult. I will sit down with her again and talk it through.

Thank you for your message and your well wishes.

Not sure I ever found something fun to do, but it was an ok day. Exercised, got a great start on the homework, listed goals but still am not sure where to focus. I may just jump around a bit this month after two months of focus on one specific project.

I'm not going to plan on getting any thinking work done today. I will work on a little this morning while my husband is still asleep but will shift to active tasks for the rest of the day.
1. Tidy house.
2. Dishes
3. Cook

I was really depressed this morning but did REST and self-soothing. I used the 5 senses and it really made a difference. I feel much better. I will finish self-care and then relax for the day. I'm ordering groceries now. I'll be glad to have more food. I hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Oh, I am glad to hear that America is still America. Mothers sometimes think they own us because they raised us, but they don't! Many years ago I read a book about mothers' strategies (to control their daughters) and how to use some strategies back on them. It talks about different "mother strategies", and helps us to identify with one or more "mother type" and then we are given beneficial strategies to not have to "bow for their wishes" but still be friends in one way or another. It really helped me.

It is still in print and they have it at Amazon or maybe you can borrow it from the library if interested.
