Yesterday was great! We stopped at a couple of yard sales on the way home and I found two things I've been wanting for years. I hope everyone is feeling better today. Moving with a knee injury does not sound fun.
1. Homework due. 2. Chores 3. Portfolio |

Yesterday I took out my trash. The day turned out better than I thought it would. I felt better after getting more rest. Today, I will:
1. Clean my kitchen. 2. Clean my bathroom. 3. Watch some videos. Hope all of you are well. Happy Sunday!! __________________ ‘Live for now,’ ‘This too shall pass,’ ‘Everything is happening for my good.’ |

I straightened up my kitchen and bathroom. Merry Maids is coming today to do the rest of the cleaning. I will try to relax. I feel nervous about this. I will do my best to calm myself. I hope everyone has a good day.

I'm on my way back from an unexpected "extra-vacation". Hope to be back to basic from tomorrow morning. I will write my to do list later today.
May you all feel that what you are able to do is OK (either little or much)! |

With emergency after emergency, the basics have fallen through the cracks. Today is calm so I’m going to work on catching up the house and other things to a baseline level. I also have a zoom meeting to attend tonight.
I hope everyone has a good day! |

I feel very tired and just want to go to bed, but the book (about anti-procrastination) says that we shall ask the ordinary CBT questions and if we are "clever" we will understand that we have been able to do things when tired before. If so, we can do it again.
I choose to be clever. Plans for tomorrow : - Jogging for 1/2 hour. - Empty the dishwasher. - Wash dishes that are not fit for the dishwasher. - Call dentist (one of my teeth broke). - Make a grocery list. - Walk to the grocery store for groceries and to deliver empty bottles. - Home-office. - For relaxation: Reading. May you all feel that what you are able to do is OK (either little or much)! |

I got my weeks messed up and scheduled something for tomorrow and kind of wish I hadn't, whoops. I may cancel - this was a reschedule of the meeting I was supposed to have yesterday which the other person canceled after it was supposed to start. TBH, all I want to do today is go to the beach and read a novel I got from the library. I have a list of things I need to get done before I head out of town. There are also a bunch of 'shoulds' but I may let them wait a bit.
1. Beach - perfect day for it. 2. Read novel. 3. Start knocking out pre-trip to-do list. |

I unloaded the dishwasher, did some cooking and reloaded the dishwasher. Now I am relaxing. I have a med appointment in a couple of hours. I hope everyone is doing well!

I took mom to a doctor’s appointment in another town and knocked a bunch of errands off my to do list. I am tired now and have a headache but will still cook dinner and pick up. Tomorrow:
1. Follow brother to the mechanic 2. Take brother to pain management appointment 3. Float at the pool 4. Take the trash out 5. Call plumber about fixing a large leak 6. Prepare for Thursday’s medical appointment I hope everyone has a peaceful Wednesday. |

I am so frustrated. I sat by the breakfast table and procrastinated about going to have a shower. I tried and tried to motivate myself, but could not find the energy to do it. I felt shame and despair. I wasn't a procrastinator originally. As a teenager, I went out of bed before my mother in the mornings because I wanted to clean my room. She always wanted to do that herself and I wanted the responsibility, so up I went and did "things". I could have mentioned the one situation after the other that showed that I was more than willing to do things.
I remembered the book about how to fight procrastination. I read some of the underlinings and the Psychologist Hayden Finch (2021) explained that it has nothing to do with laziness, but with how the brain has become used to functioning and that there will be setbacks when one starts fighting it (her book is about how to unwind these brain "complications"). She tells that there has been very little scientific research on procrastination earlier. It is first in the last ten years that science has taken it seriously. Oh yes, there happened "things" in my life when I was middle aged, that was terrible and unbearable. This morning I felt comforted and accepted by this psychologist words, not lazy, and went to rest for one hour. May be this is not interesting to read about for other people, but it gives me some kind of relief to write it down now when I remember it, and of course I hope that if there should be somebody else with the same problems reading this , they can start feeling less lazy. For now I am having a cup of coffee and I have rearranged my plans. I will fill dishwasher first and then take my shower. A good day to everyone! : throb: |

I did very little work yesterday. I went to the beach and read my novel. I also started crossing off random things from the to-do list.
1. More random items. 2. Grocery store before lunch so there is lunch. 3. Homework - limit it to two hours MAX. |

My med call went well. I'm going back on Zoloft. Cymbalta was causing too many side effects. Today I will cook vegan chili and clean litter boxes. I hope everyone has a good day!

I will study the "anti-procrastination techniques" for 45 minutes. After that I will slow down before I go to bed. My plans for tomorrow: - Free choice at the start of the day. - Gym. - Free choice after the visit to the Gym. - Fill dishwasher. - Dusting. - Visit grocery store. May you all feel that what you are able to do is OK (either little or much)! |

Feeling disgusted with myself. My homework was to provide peer feedback on other people's writing assignments. I did not want to spend more than two hours on it but spent close to six. This is a very poor use of my time. I struggle because I want to give helpful criticism but also spend a lot of time refining so it sounds nice. I wish I had not spent so much time on this today. I had considered leaving for my workshop early but tomorrow is going to be busy since I didn't get much else done.
The good news is that I submitted all my feedback today instead of dragging it out even more. |

I cooked 6 meals in 2 days. I put some of it in the freezer for next week. I have no chores to do today except clean the kitchen. But that's pretty easy. I've been cleaning as I go. So today I will relax and play games. I hope everyone has a good day today!
