I totally get how this feels. You have no energy for basic things yet the medication doesn't seem to help, only hinder. As you know when depression has such a grip on your mind and heart, it's a huge effort just getting from one moment to the next.
If the medication isn't working, you have to try another. But, of course, it takes a few weeks to kick in and that's an eternity for us. Is there any music you like? Sometimes that can be a nice tonic for people. Maybe you could watch some stand-up. I have tried this and actually found myself laughing out loud in my dark, dark moments. Please don't lose hope; I know, easier said than done. But we're here to carry you when you need to vent or need loving support. |
