When I started looking for depression forums my idea was to meet people to chat, and do some friendship ideally.

Been 6 years since I started joining and using mental health forums, also I joined to every depresson group in Facebook, and so far havent meet many people willing to chat, and still dont have any online friend I care to chat.

Its been very dessapointing. I deal with loneliness, and the forums sometimes feel so lonely. Just read and reply topics isnt enough. In other forum I reply many topics but the people who make the topics doesnt reply back, and many times just abandone their topics, so now I dont care much to reply othe people's topics.

Personally I just look for people who want to chat in private message, but I post messages and dont get many replies, and then its hard to find people which match interests or way to think.

I joined a few discord forums but the median age there seemed to be around 16.

I know what you mean...

Nonetheless, the one I'd recommend is the Haven. They had an age poll, which showed that most users are in their 20's and 30's. A few 40's and even some 50's and 60's. I don't recall beyond that.

No, mainly because I want to meet others that also deal with depression, someone who also understand this, and we can relate through this.

I know that even forums can sometimes feel lonely. I'm too much of an introvert, aside from depression, to be an ongoing chat partner. But I really hope you find what you are seeking here. It's a diverse group, so there have got to be some others who are chat-inclined.

I was cyber bullied by those on the discord who were on Kati Morton website now on Facebook.

I think the Haven is pretty good about handling bullies and other troublemakers. They have pretty much zero tolerance for that sort of thing and will ban anyone trying to hurt others. They're aware that we already have enough to deal with... we certainly don't need the extra pain.

Go to The Haven and click Join.

I don't recall how I originally joined, but it was from this forum. The above came up from a quick web search, so hopefully that's the current way.
