Whit in the last six months everything just feels so pointless. I don’t know where this all came from. It feels like it hit me all of a sudden.
I’m not getting any joy out of life at all. All I feel like doing on sundays is sleeping for hours on end. Then when I wake up I’m bitter about facing everything in life.
I don’t know what to do I don’t have an ounce of ambition.

@dwfieldjr sorry to hear you are in a slump. That must be rough. Hope you find some steps to start moving out of it.

if you feel that you might benefit from treatments, a mental health professional can give you options. If you cannot make any progress on your own, that may be a step that can get you through this rough period.

What works for me when I get like that is to set a goal of doing one small project like doing the laundry or the dishes. When I finish that I am free to do what I want. I might exercise or do yoga. I find it helps that it is something that is needed and doing it will help me or others. We may not find out the point of everything until we look back and see from afar, but I want to do the best I can. That is all anyone can be expected to do.

Hi there!
Hope you read my post, as I hope u find it meaningful, coz I can extract from the title of your thread that even reading it makes no sense to u anymore,
I tell u your are wrong, the fact that u wrote here indirectly u were searching for a point,
I would wish u talked little bit bout ur personal life, some experiences from past ur achievements, ur failures, have u lost somebody?....may be u have been criticised in ur childhood, certainly u didn't come out by these feelings from nothing,
Feeling worthless can be a symptom of having depression,
This closed meaningless circle u keep spining around has become part of your life.
In order to break the circle and get yourself out of it, you need objectives, purposes, and goals to achieve.
I know it is difficult to find a purpose currently, during these hard psychological circumstances, but I tell u how,
Usually people who have ability and power to fulfill their goals they feed their self satisfaction to the highest levels, they reach happiness.
In ur case look for happiness start from the top then u could get goals achieved without u even realise!
I know it sounds crazy but it is true.
Pursue happiness, I'm not talking about sumptuous places and luxurious things...
Be simple that's all.
Biologically you are trying to live, living is the main point every human being is trying to do, your breaths inside lungs, your heart beats your thoughts inside your mind...all these organs have a purpose,
The problem is in ur psychology,
Happiness is the key, forget goals in life.
Without goals life becomes meaningless yes we know it,
Just be simple,
Try to walk and smile to strangers in the streets they smile to u back and tell me later how do u feel?
Help a kid to cross the street, stop a bus for a blind man, pick up a flower and smell it,
U still couldn't find happiness yet?
stay home, eat a snack and watch your favorite TV show far away from crowd and noisy life outside...
Don't think much, what has gone is gone and there's no way it go back again,
Don't analyse, accept things the way they are.
Sometimes ignorance is a virtue, knowledge is a curse, sometimes it seems that science and culture have been discovered to make our questions deeper and our life limitless that we would never keep up with!!
Some things are meant to stay in the shadows, some knowledge are meant to be unknown,
You said these last six months things started to be pointless,
It means that before things weren't that way.
In fact each one of us misses the old version of himself, although it was weaker, less mature and more stupid, but it was happier and comfortable and reassuring, peace and reassurance always remain the most precious feeling.
Hope sooner you find your path.
My best wishes.
