How I wish I, or anyone I know (or even knew) could have ever had, or could find - an excellent (or even ok) therapist in a certain location. I do not wish to discuss my location (some people know but I do not wish to get into a debate or argument which has happened a couple of times on another forum That is not why I am here, or on any forum - nor am I here to ''whine'' or to ''lament''
Sorry about the anger, I had been too well trained by abusive parental units to keep SILENT even when being harshly or even cruelly criticised. NOW I know that is NOT HEALTHY. Supportive replies only (sorry I'm not trying to be mean, I'm ''just too sensitive'' right now. And I used to have a friend who was a therapist (she died about 5 years ago) who said there isn't a ''cure'' for being ''too sensitive'' - and I'd rather be that way than some calculating, callous A hole (not about anyone here) not about anyone on msf not about the situation in the world __________________ |

As we cultivate intimacy with ourselves we also cultivate a deep sense of trustworthiness and trust

I'm inclined to agree with your friend on the lack of a cure for oversensitivity. The things we "learn" in childhood etch themselves deeply. Or, if there is a cure, that cure might be worse than the disease. __________________ My dog mastered the "fetch" command. He would communicate he wanted something, and I would fetch it. |

Oh my goodness, trust seems to be a rare thing, but so beautiful when we have it. I don't know why certain things are the way they are, but I keep trying to understand, like you do, Fuzzybear.

I understand and empathise with your feelings and situation with therapists.
One told me that a cure doesn’t exist but support to manage ourselves can help. I have come to accept that I am me, I didn’t choose to be me but I am me. In a crisis I don’t want to be me at all but I am still me. It’s much harder to accept being me then….. I send hugs, support and loving kindness dear Fuzzybear ❤️ |
