Hi all,

I know how it feels when one has to stay alone at a popular Season. I have always had somebody to celebrate Christmas with, but have experienced the New Year celebration alone behind with drawn Curtains.

It is a terrible feeling - one is alone and feel like the world don't want to know about one. One doesn't count.

I disagree with the "one doesn't count" thought. I'll tell you why: This world are full of people who suffer. Some does not have enough food. Others are scared because of war. Some live alone or have to suffer inside their families, while others have lost their dearest mother, spouse, son or grandchild just a few days ago.

Do you know the Ukrainian old grandmother who has to sit alone in a tent this Season? Do you really think that she doesn't count? She does count! The teenager from the Middle East that lost his family members in a bomb attack - do you know him? Doesn't he count even if you don't know him? He does! What about the Asian brother who sits in prison because he has a religion his government does not like? Doesn't he count? He does and so do all of us! For what you don't know, the smiling lady one block away will cry behind drawn curtains at Christmas. She doesn't look unhappy to you, but many hide their sufferings behind a mask when they meet their neighbors.

So, when it is Christmas day and you have all these hurt feelings, tell yourself that it is OK to have them. If you want to see a program at TV, do it. Will you play a game, do it. Will you lay in bed all day, do that, but mark times when you have to eat something and have a bottle of water close by, so you don't become dehydrated. If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts, please google for help guides at Internet, find your emergency number and fight for your life! You are not alone. A lot of other pepole fight for their lives at the same time as you do. Christmas only lasts for a few days and life continues for all of us, included you.

In two to three mounts, Spring is here. The nature awakes, and so do we. Soon flowers will blossom and the sun shine again ...

Take care!

Thanks for those kind and extremely wise words. I appreciate it.

I will be alone this Christmas but am not feeling bad about it.

My philosophy about everything is . . . "could be worse but isn't worse, thank God." I look at my past, present and future this way and at people, things and events.

Whatever is happening in my life could be worse but isn't, thank goodness. And whatever will happen in my future life could be worse but won't be. This gets me through the hard times.

I think you are a very wise person.
