So, last month, mainly the amount and difficulty of assignments I had to spend time with (university) resulted in me working 10-12 hours a day without a break while burning out.

I know all the techniques which should be used to recover, but have real reasons why I cannot opt for them. I must not take break, I should work even more if I want to continue my studies. Not only, but mainly because of that, I have no time for things I used to enjoy and even if I rarely do, it doesn't feel like a good time anymore. And my friends are never helpful in these situations, they simply don't care about my well-being (to make it clear, I don't distance myself from others).

Any ideas how I can recover from this terrible burnout?

@jaklevco I am sorry you have burned out. That must feel so uncomfortable.

As far as what can help you, I can only list things that help me and you are free to try them if they seem reasonable to you.

Get more sleep.
Eat healthy food. Avoid junk food, sugar, high carb meals and intxicants.
Do regular exercise like Adrienne or Palouse yoga on Youtube and five minute Tai Chi.
Breathing is very important to me. I breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth as if blowing to cool off a hot drink.
LIsten to soothiong instrumental music.
Avoid news as it is mostly depressing.
Help others who are suffering as much or more than me as a volunteer.
Recreate my goals
Reinvent who I think I am. This can change when major changes happen in our life and the old ideas of who we are no longer work.
Having a daily routine
Cleaning my room
Doing the dishes
Keeping things clean and organized

Hope something in that helps a little.

Your body and mind are trying to let you know that they need attention and rest. Everything else can wait. Just like a car running out of gas cannot just keep going and operating on mere fumes, you also need to refuel. Otherwise, it will only cause even further damage. Everything else will work itself out. ✨

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, the situation is very complicated.
@darkfeary, I know I need rest. The problem is that if I want to continue with my studies, I cannot afford a break. Timewise, I have one year to go to finish my bachelor's degree so I really don't want to lose the time I already invested into that, Taking a break from the studies is actually very complicated since I'm retaking two courses now. Last time I was suggested a break (had a temporary physical health issue), I was told that I'd have to retake the courses remainig, not to start them from scratch. That would mean that I would actually fail them when taking the break. And now, I cannot fail the two courses if I don't want to drop out.

@CANDC thank you for the ides. I must say that I have to keep searching for more, though. I don't want to say that yours are bad, but you know, everything is individual. I know that yoga/meditations don't have much of an impact on me. I have absolutely no time for volunteering. And other things are my usual behaviour, no matter how I feel
