Does anyone ever feel that they are way past the point of being depressed?

Not that you've been depressed and have got through it and come out the other side, quite the opposite in fact.

Not really sure there is even a name for it and I'm not explaining it very well.

Despair. Total resignation. Futility. Acceptance that this is it.
Any or all of those, maybe.

I felt like that a couple of times, once when I was in a psychiatric hospital. Right now I am not in such a place although it is still very dark here. My heart goes out to you! I hope you find relief. It is awful to be in such a "beyond depression"!

I'm so sorry. I wish I had something helpful to say. I feel that the ''healthcare system'' for mental ''health'' in some areas leaves a lot to be desired. Have you tried reading any books, I've found Pete Walker's book - Complex PTSD - from surviving to thriving to be helpful. Maybe pick it up and dip into it, a bit at a time. Thinking of you and sending love. That term in the title, it reminds me of that ugly term - ''beyond help''..... In my vast experience I have NOT encountered even ONE person who ''should'' be slammed with anything ugly like that. Maybe.... some of those who are supposed to ''help'' are .... ''Beyond help''

I truly hope you find something that helps. People here do care

Let me/us know if you try the book. I definitely recommend it.
