Well, I made it through treatment and I'm now home. I still have until the end of September before I return to work, though. I'm going to treat myself by ordering some Chinese food for dinner tonight, which will leave me with leftovers for tomorrow. While I was away, my landlord replaced the mirror above the bathroom sink for me, which was nice.

My practitioner was supposed to send my prescriptions in to the pharmacy, but the pharmacy didn't have any record of having received any such prescriptions. So now I have to call her office on Monday when they open and ask about it. I have an appointment with a psychiatrist by zoom on Tuesday, but I have not yet received any email on how to access this virtual appointment. So I have to call their office on Monday to ask about that as well. It's not the worst burden in the world, but it is annoying nevertheless.

It's been a very dull day today. A little bit busy in the morning and I felt alright, but my feelings have sunk now. I haven't stepped outside all day today, which is unusual for me.

I'm not looking forward to this whole week ahead because I'm a little bit restricted from doing things that I normally do that I like doing. It's because of having to take care of the stitches from the procedure last Wednesday,

I'm not doing too well. Kind of depressed. No motivation. Not leaving the house. Not even got dressed today. I keep wanting to lie down and watch videos on my tablet.

There's a racket going on next door to me. The driveway is being worked on. There are all kinds of jackhammers at work to break up the pavements. Those kind of noises are not helping me out emotionally. It's not a large driveway, so I hope it will be done soon. I've had to keep my windows closed on account of the noise; and it's hot outside. I feel like I'm suffocating. This has been a very noisy summer.

The other night one of the steps on the stairwell came apart. Someone had stepped on the step and it broke off in half. The stairwell is closed. No notice as to when the repairs will happen. I miss it because it's close to me and I prefer to use it than the elevator.

It seemed like this year started off pretty good. But since May things have been going downhill. It's getting worse as the days go on.

I’m glad that everything went ok.

Same here! The company next to us is either removing or replacing their HUGE satellite dishes. The cranes and other equipment is making unbearable noise. It echoes through my building because it’s an echo chamber anyway. I thought it was maintenance but I looked and they weren’t there. The noise starts at 8am here except Sundays.

Right now our trash is overflowing. The manager said he called the company and their excuse was the roadwork and closures. He said he told them they can get around them. Also people who don’t live in the building are apparently dumping stuff so there’s no room for our trash. He put up a sign saying no illegal dumping, the area is under surveillance and it’s for our building. But that’s not going to stop people. They drive or bike through the alley and dump stuff. It hasn’t been picked up for days and there’s bags of trash on the ground now.

It’s hot here too and getting cigarette smoke a lot now. The wind never changes direction. It always blows this way and I can smell it even with the windows closed.

The days are getting noticeably shorter but still long enough for people to be noisy.

I take the stairs too because I’m claustrophobic. We’ve had trouble with the elevator so much I’m afraid I’ll get stuck in there. And it’s not air conditioned.

And I don’t want to be stuck in there with someone I want to avoid. But I do take it when I have groceries or I’ll have to make twice as many trips. That was exhausting when it was down for over 8 months. Recently it was down in the other building for months. It’s the same landlord. I go there to do laundry if it’s busy here. Thankfully it’s on the ground floor.

I feel this city is just going down the tubes. And I feel I’m suffocating too.

It's been a nothing day for me again. I'm still restricted to go bike riding and working out because of the procedure last week. This week has been dragging. It seems like next Monday can't get here fast enough. That's when I'll have the stitches removed. There should be some freedom for me after that!

There's been a lot of noise here since Monday because of the driveway project next door. The surface now for the driveway and parking lot next door is brick, not asphalt. As of now, the workers are laying down the bricks and it looks like they'll be finished soon. It looks nice now.

To Nonightowl ---> I can relate so well about being in the elevator with a fellow neighbor you're not crazy about. When I take the elevator (in which I had to do a lot now that the stairs are out of order) I have a fear that someone will come in; and most likely it will be someone not likable. It happens and it's not pleasant. One time I got into a fight because of it.

I hope it wasn’t a physical fight? I only got stuck in an elevator once in an office building but I was alone. I don’t want to get stuck with a neighbor I want to avoid. I can even avoid people on the stairs because I can recognize the gait of people.

Now they want to paint the front stairwells and laundry room floor, both areas are far away from me thank goodness. Finally a break! Last time they used such cheap paint in the laundry room it flaked off the next day. Probably too cheap for quality paint and painters.

It wasn't a physical fight but verbal. It was a surprise that it happened. I do all I can to avoid some of my neighbors. I do a good job of it but not always. It's sad to have to avoid people.

I have been in good shape for past 2 days. Got stuff done. My kitchen and bathroom are clean. I feel so much better after I clean up the messes I make when depressed.

Another day of not much. I just went shopping early this morning and that's all as far as having something to report about. i got a little bit disgusted when the store didn't have a couple of items I wanted on hand.

It was noisy once again with the driveway project next door. It appears they have finished the job or they may be doing some light finishing up work either tomorrow or Monday.

This has been Hell week for me. Since Monday that project started and it's been noisy the whole time. Plus I miss doing my exercises and bike rides. Next Monday I'll have my stitches on my arm removed, so I should be back to the exercises and bike ride. I sure hope so. It seems like it's so near and yet so far and too good to be true.

Me too and because of the way the building is designed it’s hard. But I’m pretty good at it usually as I’m aware who takes the elevator, who takes the stairs, who does laundry when I do, etc. There’s a guy who comes home with his stereo blasting and he’s someone that I try to avoid.

My grocery store stopped carrying some things and they seem to rearrange the items every couple of months or so. That confuses me.

I plan to keep my window closed all day Monday even though the noise won’t be right next to me. The effing building has an echo effect in it.

It’s been many years but I’ve had procedures that took months to recover from. So I hope your recovery goes well.

I cleaned for a couple of hours this morning. The first half of the cleaning was ruined by construction noise from outside. This time it was cement cutting next door to the place that had the driveway worked on this week. I thought to myself, "will peace and quiet ever come my way?"! Well, it was only for an hour. But it was loud and annoying while it lasted; and it drowned out the music I love to hear while cleaning.

I had an hour-long appointment with the psychiatrist on Tuesday. They want to increase my medication, and refer me to a group for CBT therapy. I've done it before, and it accomplished nothing, so I'm skeptical. However, I'm still willing to give it a try. Beyond that, I'm not doing very well. I came home from treatment and have been mostly waiting for things to happen. I'm feeling very depressed; I have little to no energy, and I'm frequently experiencing bouts of sadness that are very intense and which come on seemingly at random. I'm unable to focus on my writing, too. There's not much hope for the future, beyond restoring function to the point that I may be capable of returning to work in the future.

Once again there's a lot of noise. I thought that today was going to be nice and quiet. Not so! Right now, someone is using a leaf blower just outside of my window and it's been going on for three hours. It looks like it's not going to stop. I have to have my windows closed and suffocate in the heat because of the noise and dust flying around. It feels like my home is not going to be nice anymore.
