I honestly don't see any reason for me to go on with this life. Everyone keeps telling me the same thing over and over again about how it will get better and hold on but I know it won't. It hasn't gotten any better in 20 years Only worse. I think I have reached the end of my life to be honest.

@The Grey Wolf I am sorry to hear you cannot find a reason for living, but you are not alone. Many people I know find that what they called their life is just not fulfilling them.

They have a little curiosity and they try searching for activities they enjoy or pursuits that will be constructive.

Personally I find that volunteering has really helped me take the spotlight off of me and see instead that others want to be happy but they are suffering. By helping others, I find a little purpose in life.

@CANDC I'm glad you found that helps you but it wouldn't work for me for a number of reasons being that -
I'm very sensitive and seeing people struggle is one of the main reasons for my Depression and feelings so I think that might do more harm than good
I live in the middle of nowhere where there is no where to Volunteer,
I don't have A Car to drive to somewhere for that,
I don't like being around other people I find it very emotionally draining and anxiety triggering,
I don't like leaving my house and I haven't in months, and I don't have the energy to really do anything and that's on top of all my physical health issues. Honestly can't find any reason to go on and I just keep thinking maybe some people are born Losers and doomed. I think maybe some people are too Sensitive for this world and were never meant for it that their life was a mistake.

I hear you @The Grey Wolf you sound like you have a challenging situation and in person volunteering is not practical. I like what DocJohn says "Don't give up your shot!" I have hit low spots for long periods but we never know when things may turn around.

Just to clarify all my volunteering is online so I just need an internet connection and I am off volunteering.

Do you have any hobbies like drawing, walking, music or pets? I have walked off a lot of depression. When I cannot go out I do a movement exerise called 5 minute Tai Chi free on youtube.

Best

I hear you, seeing people struggle and suffer can be very hard to deal with. I think if you’re feeling vulnerable and sensitive it’s wise to protect yourself. It sounds like you’ve got a lot going on in your life? Do you have any sort of support? Is there anyway you can talk through this with someone?

If all else fails there is always the Samaritans, they will listen if you need to talk.

You’re not a loser. I’m a sensitive person too. Try taking a walk outside & listen to the birds sing. Look st the trees & the flowers. Appreciate the beauty in life. Get a cat or a dog. They’re great company.

I have family but talking to them hasn't helped. In the past it has made it worse tbh as they seem to always make it about them. I used to say I wouldn't do anything as long as my grandmother was here. I've even told everyone that but lately I feel like I can't keep that up. I don't know anything about samartians worried they will call the police or something. I went to see a therapist and set up an appointment and it is thursday but I am going to cancel it.

I’m in the UK so it may possibly be different where you are but over here the Samaritans would not call the police unless you were harming others. They are a non judgemental listening service, not like therapy, but useful if you want to talk to someone anonymously.
