Can someone tell me what luck theyve had in treatment for this.
Is it a med thing , Therapy ,? a free counselor I had told me I have this
I dont really like the sound of it because it seems so long lasting. I also have been told that i suffer from ptsd and some level of dissociation. Where do I go from here because i cant stand feeling like this all the time.

thanks
jase

dysthymia Consider it the same as "depression -light" if there were to be such a thing...and follow the same types of treatment. You can help yourself a bit with reviewing and considering the Common Cognitive Distortions that generally add to the bad feelings... there's a sticky post at the top of the psychotherapy forum.
