I think of death sometimes a lot, not about suicide but just death itself and how much i am scared of it. Its not a thought you can easily shake

what these folks have said - call your MD. if you haven't a therapist.

meanwhile, while you are waiting to make contact, you can start thinking about things by trying to do something that feels 'ordinary'.... like throwing laundry in the wash, walking around the block, going to the store, ride a bike, or watch a movie (comedy), or search google for relaxation videos, go to u-tube, anything, shampoo your hair, go buy a magazine, or pick some flowers, make a soup or a nice cup of tea, make a sandwich, drink lots of water, take your vitamins, make your bed, or take a nap, take a bubble bath or hot shower ... make a phone call ... anything you can think of ... just do it, one foot in front of the other, go do something - as you get dressed for a therapy session, or Dr. appt. ... and please come back and let us know how it is going -

(just some suggestions that help me at times)
help

feel some peace,
nightbird
