I'm just doing some reading about preventing depression.
One direction that is mentioned is "social rhythm stabilizing therapy" - so I tried to google the topic. It sounds like it mean eating, sleeping, at regular times. Is it more complicated than that? Thanks |

Hi Rose,
Nope, that's pretty much it. Apparently, stabilizing your routine (going to bed and getting up at the same time every day and night, eating plenty of fruits and veg, eating at regular intervals, exercising regularly, etc.) does wonders for your biological rhythms, and thus helps your brain chemistry tremendously. I think we in the Western world so often forget to take care of ourselves because of the daily grind, but we're all human, and we need to treat our bodies like the beautiful and intricate vessels they are. Hope this helps, and don't forget to take care of yourself! ![]() -J
