in my village up for rent. We can afford it. Right now we are paying a very high rate for our interest only mortgage and it is crippling us. It is far too small and i just need to get away from here .

We have a viewing tomorrow for this much larger house to rent ... they have said we can take our dog. Because we are in a lot of debt and have 2 creditors wanting money when we sell the house i dont know where we stand so i've e.mailed our solicitor. We also have 2 ccjs (county court judgements)

Just had a call, landlady wont accept us cos we have ccjs....

that's that then .....don't think we'll be able to rent anywhere either ..... we'll beon he street s efore long

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Really a shame that you need to sell your home to meet your obligations. If the house is bigger and you can bring your dog, you may be better off renting. Not too many rentals allow pets. Can you somehow work out a payment plan with the county? That way the landlord will see that you want to improve your situation and change her mind. Just hope that the house sells quickly. Good luck!

we spent nearly a year trying to find somewhwere to live before we were evicted but in the end we were homeless also having pets didnt help we had to put them in lennels and kept applying for social housing and private
most wanted referances but we didnt have any
we were lucky when we were told about this landlady she still wouldnt let us have pets so they had to be rehomed
but at least we had a roof over our heads

the only sugestions i can sugest is go to the local authority and ask if they now of any landlords who might take you on having ccjs

most with estate agents are like that also do a search through local paper and the internet
also why not put add out there letting ppl now that your looking for somewhere to rent
hope you get some luck soon

with selling house only thing i can sugest is pack as much as possible take pics down paint rooms light and airy get rid of things you are not using

ty Katheryn I'm so sorry you had to go thru all that, it must have been heartbreaking ........ I've de-cluttered as much as i can .... downstairs is ok,it's the upstairs that puts people off ... bedrooms are small (built in the 1700's) my kids have instruments which take up room and they use them .....i will try the local council tho, ty. We are South Derbyshire and they usually relocate people to Swadlincote which is miles away from where my son is doing his A levels .... the schools are not good and he is at the best school in the area right now ....

i know we have a roof over our head right now, but it is killing us financially and the way things are going we will be in negative equity ........
