I thought Christmas would really suck this year, as neither my husband's family nor mine were getting together on Christmas day. Yea, we had a get together a week ago with my In-laws, but that really is not the same. It was nice to stay home all day today though, with one of my step sons, and my hubby. My other two step sons had other plans, and since they are adults, who am I to say no.
It was really nice, having a nice quiet relaxed gift exchange, and a nice relaxed viewing of movies that we received. I remember one Christmas as a kid though, that was not relaxed. There are ten kids in my family, only 13 years apart, so you can imagine Christmas morning, and the mass chaos. I remember one year, my one family of cousins, who had 11 kids, came for Christmas and let me tell you, you could have built a log cabin from the trees that died to wrap all those gifts. What a mess! It's funny that I don't remember these times when I am in the depth of a depression. Oh well, I have to work tonight to get ready for the after Christmas sale....I hope you all had a wonderful day. bren
