If there's anyone out there mid 20s would like to exchange some emails some time I would be all about it. I'm a 26 year old male who has struggled with sadness for as long as I can remember. I'd like to hear what your problems are, how you've tried to deal with them, what you're doing to try and beat this. Lately I've been feeling so disconnected and alone, it's been 10+ months in this current bout. Unfortunately the majority of people I see on this site are much older than me, it would be nice to hear from someone closer in age. I don't chat and I don't have a lot of opportunities to come here and check for replies, I can however check my email often. People here seem very nice so I'm hoping this is a good place to look for a penpal.

The best place to get support is to give support, use the forum, safer for some of us, with trust issues.

I just can't log on here very often. 2 maybe 3 would be the max I could come on here a month. I'm only online at work and they frown on us looking at personal stuff. I can check email daily though.

If anyone is interested you can just send me a note that says something like, "I saw your psych central penpal post" and I'll take it from there.

John - Most public libraries have PC's connected to the Internet. You might want to check that out too.

Welcome John. We are a great support site, but most of us frown on other type contact. (And let's face it, with your s/n, it is rather imposing!) I like em's idea of library use, we do have members that do that to come here. But most of the businesses don't allow access to this type of site, I guess. Maybe you could find a boss at work that would allow it for lunchtime?

Hope you can figure things out and at least have time to come back and read the posts, that'll help too!
