Hi! I'm new here. I am clinically depressed. I've been on Effexor XR since after my daughter was born 5 yrs. ago and I had Postpartum Depression. Most of the time, I feel o.k. Not great. Just o.k. I have an o.k. marriage. A few friends, but I lack the motivation to actually call them or want to get together with them. I haven't the energy to excercise, although everyone "tells" me that will make me feel better. I just physically don't have the energy.

I had a miserable weekend. Stayed in the bed and cried for two solid days, for no particular reason. Woke up this morning, though, and I feel fine ... don't feel like crying ... got up, got dressed (even put on make-up). What is up with that????? That's the frustrating part about this.
Any thoughts?

Hello janekdt, it's nice to meet you. It may be time to have your meds evaulated, it sounds like you may need an adjustment. Are you in therapy? I find therapy helpful for depression.

i agree with grimmece her advice sounds good get your meds evaluated, also worth checking your iron as that can make you feel tired and similer effects to depression,
you could ask for a full blood work that way they should tell you if you have the right dose of your med in your system, i sugest you talk to a doc or pdoc to start with then maybe a t just to start your self back on the road to recovery
