I'm sorry I have been whining about this in chat for a couple of days.
I started taking Citilopram/Celexa a few weeks ago and it has increased my appetite MASSIVELY. I usually try to eat really healthily and go for long walks and stuff, but I know I'm pigging out more ... I just can't help it. Then yesterday and today I have ended up throwing up meals after I ate too much. I have a friend who put on a *lot* of weight on this AD, and now I can see why. Prozac made me lose weight but I felt quite sick on it so I don't want to take anything else. I don't even know if the Citilopram is really working, I had a really awesome normal few days and then I feel like I am going down again. So I don't see the point in taking them and thinking I might just not take them at all. so sorry to keep complaining i know a lot of people are feeling a lot worse than i am. |

i should have added, throwing up food is an old habit that i got under control and i just don't want to get back into that ... i hadn't done it for a while until the last few days and the only reason is cos i've been so huuungry.
it's such a stupid problem too. |

i dont know if i ever mentioned this, but i was on zoloft for a while. it mellowed out my appetite. i eat a lot when i am depressed though...( "atypical" depression), so maybe that was simply due to feeling better.
it takes a while for antidepressants meds to work too so maybe that side effect will go away. and let me just give you the same advice you gave me in chat... "just eat the cake!" |

thank you miss candy ... i know you know how i feel ...
i just don't really know what to do, cos i don't think the AD is doing all that much anyway, so what is the point of getting fat for it!!!!! |
