I zone out some too and then because I realize that I am not totally with it I start to question stuff like red lights and my driving. I never even thought that it may be due to depression though I suppose that is a possibility, I guess I always figured that mine was due to anxiety because driving generally makes me anxious. What my T always has be do is to question what purpose this activity is serving, for me it is what I like to call a brain overload where I can escape the anxiety. I also think that some of mine is due to a lack of concentration because I have always been kind of spacey anyway.
Maybe we should both speak to our drs about this just to be safe as to what may be causing it.

when i'm depressed my mind can feel like it's on auto-pilot and often it is. i try not to drive much when i'm on overload because i have trouble concentrating too. so yes i can relate!
chat with your pdoc too about this. he/she may have other thoughts on what's going on.

I have mild depression and anxiety and I have noticed that I am spacey too (could also be something I learned for childhood), but you should talk to you T or doc...I have had times when I am so spaced out that I dont remember going from point A to point B in my car or what I did in btwn...I havent told my T this yet...how about you tell ur T/pdoc and I tell mine Don't worry, you are not alone

Are you on any medications for depression? Some meds have this as a side effect.
