i started lexapro for my depression like a week and 1/2 ago and everyone's jumping on me everyday and asking how i'm doing. i don't think i know yet ... i'm doing fine, but with everyone asking me everyday i feel like i should be feeling different, but i don't. so the real question is ... what should i expect out of this lexapro? the depression started when i was so young that i don't even think i can remember what it's like not to be depressed and hopeless. i don't know what i should be feeling, but i want to feel different.

it usually takes at least 2 weeks before you will notice any difference. sometimes, if the dose is too low, or the med isn't right for you, it might take much longer! it took me about 2 months of trial and error before me and my doctor found a medication that worked well for me.

so - have a bit of patience. the ppl who are asking are only asking because they are concerned. maybe you can turn it into something positive like "it seems to be going ok, i dont have any side effects" or something? don't know, just a suggestion.
Thanks for this!
