Tomorrow I have an appointment with a new T. I'm really nervous.

Hello,

I've no idea what to say really... but i read your post and want you to know that i can empathise with that feeling... it's bloody awful, isn't it? I'm not sure what I'll be like next week when i meet my new psychologist, but i hope that i can come back here tomorrow and read about how you got on,

P.

Hi Icky --

I always feel that my first 2 meetings with a new T are a waste of time for me. It's all intake info, getting the new T up to speed. Honestly, I don't think we should even be charged for it -- it's for their sake, not ours.

So I empathize. Going back over the same bed of hot coals -- not fun.

Hope it went better than you anticipated.

I agree W2F...I get annoyed that even though I offer to get records transferred they'd rather REdo all hubby's stuff. Good grief! Waste my time why don'tcha!

Good luck Icky!

Hey Icky... I hope your meeting with the new t goes ok and that you like him/her and get on well together. I think that the first apppointment is always the hardest si nce you have to get to know each other. Hope it goes ok for you.

Well....my appointment went better than I thought. I can talk to her fairly easily. Her name is Sandy. A lot of it was getting her up to speed, she also tried a visualization thing. It was kinda upsetting. SHe assures me that I am not a selfish jerk...but that's how I feel. I'm really worn out but at least my mind is calming down a litlle. Thank you for caring

Hey Icky - I'm so glad you found it easy to talk to her and that it went well. I hope you find other sessions just as rewarding.
