Im so p'd off and sad at the moment and all i want 2 do is cry but for some reason i cant. I can feel the tears there but they just wont come out. Does this happen to anyone flse? Could it be my meds making this happen. Im usually able 2 always cry when i need to. This is actually really starting to irritate me!

I will be glad to give you some of mine. They have been getting more frequently and lasting longer this past week.

Yes it could most likely changes in your meds. However, I'm a frog of little brain so there are not abreviations like MD or PHD or Pres. after my name.
But it has happened to me in the past.

Rachie, I'm just the opposite. I cry all the time. Especially now because I am going through a lot of personal (family) problems. I cry so much until I am getting embarassed. Wish it would stop. Cyring is supposed to be good for you. I hear it releases something in your body, that is supposed to help relieve stress. I got some advice for you. If you can't cry and want to, watch a sad movie, like Shawshank Redemption or Day After Tomorrow. When you start crying, just let it rip.

I would say you're lucky, because I can't help but cry. But, sometimes you just have to.

Watch a sad movie that you can relate to, maybe.

Rachie,

Didn't you just start zoloft? It could definitely be the meds that make it difficult. It's called emotional blunting and it's a common side effect of anti depressants. Hopefully, it should even out after a while but do discuss this with the doctor who prescribed your meds. I also have had times when I couldn't cry but now I'm a regular leaky faucet!

It must be very frustrating though.

Take care.
