Does anyone else get this feeling like you're stuck in life, this is all it's ever going to be, it's never going to get any better, etc.?

Yes. You are most definitely not alone there.

Sometimes, it's just a sign that I need/want to get out of the rut & try something different. Other times, it's the depression talking & there seemingly isn't anything I could do to make things different. I can normally recognize when it's predominantly the depression at work, but that doesn't usually make me feel any better at the time. So far, I've always made my way through & eventually either being able to institute some change myself, or on occasion, the hand of fate has come along & done some for me. Either way, I just try to keep trudging on.

It has to be said, that there are also times when I've been stuck in a rut that has been just comfortable enough that I'd probably have stayed there, until some external event has kicked me out.
Thanks for this!

Yes.

Learning how to handle that feeling is something I am still working on.

Yes, and the more depressed I am, the more deeply and longer I feel that way. It's a vicious cycle sometimes. That's when I definelty need a pdoc, meds and a T, as well as PC for support.

But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me.

Me too, sometimes... But... life is a huge thing, and it consists of millions of small things. What helps me is to think of at least one little thing that doesn't feel like completely stuck, because then it means that the huge thing "life" can change too... if that makes any sense

Thank you for all of your hugs & support! I'm feeling better today...it was just the depression taking yet another stab at my well-being.
