Hi and thanks for any help you can provide,

The MS was recently diagnosed but I ve battled depression for a long time.

If you have MS or know someone that does would you mind sharing with me, either here or in PM, a bit about your episodes. I know that is sort of dumb question it can vary so much from person to person but any info is helpful.

I think a another episode is starting and my doctor is still on vacation so am a bit scared.

I joined this site a while back because I deal with depression and MS and this is the only site I came across that had sub-forums for both. Well I got side tracked with life before I could jump in and get to know you all so even though I am a stranger I hope someone replies.

Thanks and I hope to get to know you all very soon.
Thanks for this!

hi PlainBFN. My mother had MS. But she had a rare type. I don't remember what type but I know it was rough for her. On her bad days she could'nt get out of bed and when she did she needed assistance to walk. She was diagnosed in 1988. The doctors all told her she would be in a wheelchair within 5 years of that diagnoses date and she was for awhile but she was'nt after a year. She would get severe numbness in her left arm and leg also in the left side of her face. She had a stroke when she was 27 so i don't know if the stroke caused her MS or if her MS caused her stroke. But she was always on steroids and immunosuppresants to deal with the symptoms of the MS. I'm so sorry to hear about you having it. But nowadays they have many wonderful treatments for the physical and emotional syptoms of MS. I hope you get better

I have one lesion due to a disabling accident... but it causes all the symptoms of MS The MS society took me under it's wing anyway.

My MD has tried a lot of the MS drugs on me (well, it feels that way) esp the ones that work on pain, but alas none of them helped and most hindered.

Hang in there.
