He was shocked at how much weight I had lost. Of course the outfit I was wearing was one of my more baggy outfits. I needed to wear the pants so I could lift them up over my knee so he could see them.

He reconfirmed that I have arthritis behind my knee cap and other than treating it with meds there is nothing he knows to do for it. So he gave me a 4 month prescription for mobic and sent me on my way. He also gave me his card that has his personal website on it that has stretches he has the Naturals do to help them strengthen their leg muscles and he wants me to try doing those. So I will try to do those and see if it helps any.

I have never heard of "Mobic" but if it is an arthritis medicine like Celebrex, be careful. Gastric bipass patients can't take Celebrex.

Congratulations on the weight loss, that should help your knee situation a lot.

When my orthopedic surgeon went in to reconstruct my knee after my ACL tore & deteriorated to the point it wasn't there anymore, he found arthritis in my knee at that time & cleaned it out as best he could.(30 years ago). did a lot of easy weight lifting to strengthen the quads to help strengthen the knee....having problems now & need to do the exercises again. It hasn't been as bad this summer as it was during the winter....probably the cold. Just no deep knee bends....then do more damage than anything. Stretching is definitely good & maybe some light weight ankle weights to life.....I put can's in bags cause all my weights are still in California far away from me now.

Wish you the best with the meds....wondering if there isn't something diet that can help also?.....worth looking into.

Take care,
Eskielover
