Hello I am 38 and I have mild intellectual disability I go for mental evaluation in November and I think my diagnosis will change to moderate intellectual disability my aunt thinks I have ADHD I can't read but 5th or 6th grade level can't even do math at all cant spell good I have to use Siri and search google when I can't spell a word and search google for how to spell it I was passes on d and f I quit school in the 7th grade because I was bullied for wearing glasses and having a humpback and still do I will stop here

welcome to the forum. It is good you have worked out a way to spell when you can't think of the words yourself. That is very clever. I'm sorry to hear you were bullied ![]() |

Intellectual disability is nothing to be ashamed of. You would be surprised how many people fall in this category and are never diagnosed! Even with this classification it's broken down in 3 major divisions, mild, moderate, and severe. Even up to moderate I have seen many individuals live typically normal lives working going to school, dating, getting married and even having children!
