I have really been struggling with this lately, and I did not even know there was a term for it until today.
It starts off innocently enough. I'll forget how to spell something, spell it wrong then deny it's wrong (I just did it here) because I swear it's right. But the days following my chemo intake, it gets worse. I'll feel disconnected from my body. I'll swear I'll feel them hemispheres of my brain working to move the muscles in my body. Or I'll feel like I am breathing under water or walking through sand. It's horrible, and I feel completely useless when it happens. After five days it usually eases, but in two more days I do chemo again. It's an endless cycle for another six months. Does anyone else get like this? Does anyone else have ideas on how to ease it?

Sorry you are struggling with this. None of the three chemo drugs I was on did this. Hope your body adjusts and the symptoms go away.

I think chemo can affect some people this way, though. Maybe your doctor will have some comments about it.

I am not on chemo but deal with brain fog from MS and it really becomes tiring after a while. I hope with time that I will to deal with this.
If I posted in wrong thread just let me know thanks. SamanthaAnne ![]() |
