My big toe on my right foot has an infection I think. Under the nail. A year ago the nail tried to come off. Then another nail grew on top of it. Now it hurts, is visibly redder than my other toes, and feels crappy.

I soaked it in hydrogen peroxide last night and my partner squeezed it and puss came out. I'm rather squimish when it comes to toes. I go to the doctor tomorrow. I have diabetes and don't want to have problems with my feet.

Off and on I've run a low grade fever this week but what do you want to bet it will be normal at docs? I hope I wont have to go to a foot doctor because of the cost.

Woe is me. Well maybe I got that out of my system. I am very worried.

Fishymoon, please let us know what your doctor says. Even minor infections in the foot can be extremely dangerous for diabetics, so an infected big toe is a big deal. It's important to keep on top of this. Wishing you luck and fast healing!
