I keep feeling like there is something in my left eye.
I have been to my Doctor and she reassures me that there is nothing in my eye. My eye feels like it has a tear that wants to come out, but doesn't; so I rub it and it feels more like a goopy matter than tears. I was having problems with a crusty substance a couple of months ago, but now this. Should I see an Opthamologist for this, or will a vision center be able to handle this? I'm due for an upgrade on my glasses. Oh, BTW, I have Multiple Sclerosis, so I'm wondering if this issues is connected to the disease? Thanks for helping! |

If it were me I would see an actual Ophthalmologist. The Ophthalmologist should be able to prescribe your new prescription for your glasses as well as diagnose if there is a tear or what have you in your eye.
Most vision centers only have an Optometrist and they simply don't have the full training an Ophthalmologist has. I'm not knocking Optometrists they can be really helpful but for me IF I had the issue you describe I'd see the Ophthalmologist. I hope everything checks out ok __________________ I think I need help 'cause I'm drowning in myself. It's sinking in, I can't pretend that I ain't been through hell.
