I'm new here and I've posted in the new members forum, but I thought I'd post a bit here too. I have Spina Bifida on top of my depression, weight issues, anxiety and possible OCD-ADHD. I have had arthritis since I was 15 and I will be 36 in February. When I was 20 most over-the-counter pain meds stopped helping by 25 I couldn't take anything lower than Percocet. Here almost 11 years later I don't even know if that would help because all my doctor will prescribe is Hydrocodone which quit working almost 11 years ago. Any advice?

Hello Nala: I just want to second Kaliope's reply. Just because a person has a medical degree this doesn't qualify them to do everything related to medicine. Try to find a physician & / or clinic that has experience working with pain management for people with Spina Bifida & / or related conditions. There are probably Spina Bifida organizations on-line you could contact who might have information available on quality service providers.
