Do any of you have Hashimoto's? I've had it for years and was just diagnosed... after being diagnosed with everything in the DSM. Anyway I'm in the middle of a flair up and was wondering what others do about the pain, the irritation, the low tolerance for stupid.... Please share your coping skills

Hi. I was diagnosed about 15 years ago. The doctor found it because of a goutier. I get my blood tested every 6 months - 1 year. I take Synthroid, which gets increased periodically. I don't have any symptoms.

It can take awhile for them to get your hormone level right (it is trial and error and they start with the lowest dose they can and gradually increase it) and then the symptoms will ease/go away.

It's been almost 2 yrs and many lab's later... I have been on the same mcg's of meds for almost a year now. My TSH levels and such are stable with the meds. This would be a good thing for someone with Hypothyroid issues. My problem is my anti-bodies are still out of wack from time to time which throws me into a "flair" up and causes bouts of depression. The problem is it seems like the med's given for depression seem to make the problems worse... does this sound familiar to anyone?
