I was looking on PC (where I spend a great deal of my computer time) and was looking to see if there was a board from chronic pain. This was as close as I could find. Regardless of the reason, I think chronic pain is definitely a huge factor in our mental wellness, and I would LOVE to see a board specifically geared to those of us who have it.

Anyone who deals with chronic pain knows people in our lives get tired of hearing about it, because they don't understand.

As it is now, my job (which I love very much) is in jeopardy because of my pain. It would kill me to lose it!

I don't know if there is a chronic pain chat group. Perhaps this might be another option either instead of, or in addition to a Forum? Chronic pain certainly is a big problem... whether it be physical or mental...

There's actually a board for chronic pain: Chronic Pain Support - Forums at Psych Central.

I know what you mean about it affecting our mental health. I have several different health issues and sometimes find it hard to know where one begins and another ends. Or where I am under all that.

i have chronic pain to,due to sensory and information overload, acute autism behaviors and sciatica caused by lengthy rough police and clinical support worker restraint when i was sectioned in a UK intelectual disability hospital.

i sympathise with you,i know how it feels and it really sucks when people dont understand, having that bit of understanding woud make pain slightly more tolerable.
im on codeine and gabapentin for my sciatica/overload/behavior triggered pain, are you on anything for yours?

is there any way your job can be modified so that you can carry on working -perhaps have more breaks or job share....?
is there any equipment that might help your work? iknow there used to be a fund in the UK for disabled workers to buy them equipment but i dont know about other countries or whether it indeed still exists in the UK.
