Hi,
I' new to this group. I'm suffering from Restless Leg Syndrome, and I have plates and screws in my right ankle. Today my Osteoarthritis been acting up for the past few days. I use a wheelchair if it's a far walking distance. My ankle tend to hurt if I walk too much. Anyone else is using a wheelchair?

loveyouhun

hi loveyouhun,
did any of your meds cause the restless leg syndrome? i had it whilst on cymbalta [an SNRI medication].
what are the plates and screws for? sounds very painful.
welcome to the forum, its very good if you have a lot of issues as theres a board for everything here.

im a wheelchair user to,but not often because my support staff are not insured to push and i struggle with pushing myself,i have to struggle with a stick and i often fall over,my issue is caused by severe sensory and information overload as well as bad sciatica.

Hi, luvyouhun, I'm new to the forum, but not new to chronic pain. I don't need a wheelchair, thank the Lord, but I do know how it feels to be hopeless. I just wanted to extend a greeting, a gentle hug, and say that it takes courage to post things like this. And I firmly believe that with courage like this, you always have hope. Like winnie the poo said, "always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger then you seem, and smarter than you think."

I spent over a year and a half in a wheelchair and now only use it if I can't walk on my prosthetic leg for some reason and it's too far a distance to go on crutches. (I'm technically only allowed to use my crutches in the house and have to use my wheelchair when I go out (when I can't wear my prosthetic).. but screw what the doctors say, I hate that thing.)
