Has anyone here who has experienced multiple concussions either themselves of a loved one notice any aggressive behavior? My husband has experienced numerous concussions in his life and it seems to be causing some form of mood disorder with agitation, depression and aggression.

concussions can cause anxiety, and often aggressiveness is actually anxiety, but appears as aggression.

yes,ive been a severe head banger [banging my head on hard objects like the wall, not a head banger in the metal/rock sense]since ive had control of my own head and ive suffered many concusions, with a whole host of side effects such as losing skills, major tinnitus and getting more agressive and irritable.i started suffering from severe depression at 15,i dont know whether that was a puberty thing or part of the concussions.
my neurologist has prescribed me padded helmets for years but it cant change the past.

Just an excuse in his case for abusing you & your trying to rationalize it. He didnt have that many bad relationships before you for no reason. He similes nice because it's what you wanted to see being desperate for someone to care for you. I bet if you had talked to any of the past he had relationships with that they would have warned you

My depression started after a series of serious head injuries, including a brain bleed, a couple contusions and a couple concussions. I don't know if they're related or not, but it seems awfully coincidental. I do have some issues with mild aggressiveness that I have to really watch at work and other social situations. I've read a lot about recurrent traumatic brain injuries and I'd be happy to talk to you further if you want. Just PM me.

i've had at least 10 concussions in my life, er room stuff and confirmed diagnosises. i am so messed up in the head who knows what could make me this way otherwise? mental disorders like schitzophrenia too which runs in the family too. just saying it could be from head trauma or not. i really don't know and not sure what caused it.
