The IRS has been harassing me since 2010, because I nearly died of sepsis, was hit by a truck, and had to have a renal stent (surgery). They will NOT accept that I was ill, and they want over $22,000 from me which I obviously do not have. My tax accountant and I filed an Offer in Compromise (to pay less and have it settled)...they have not approved it yet!!!!!
Most of the time I am just strained to the limit with anxiety and anger. But today I feel more hopeful. It is a great relief to feel more hopeful!!!!! |

I like reading that you are feeling more hopeful today. The IRS can cause all sorts of emotional problems for people who already have mental health issues. I hope that they approve your Compromise soon so that your can really relax and maybe enjoy life a bit.

My dad's a tax attorney, I'll ask the specific name, but there's a form you can file to get them to back off. My dad calls it the "quit picking on me form". I'll call him today and ask him the name of the form. You can then just google it, fill it out and they almost always accept it.
I hear your pain. I went through a similar situation and am in the process of filing bankruptcy. Not fun... |
