My mom is behaving strange lately. My dad is starting to resent her and also my sister. They treat her badly as she is unreasonable and selfish, even lazy or mean. But I did some research and to my horror her mental changes are equal to early Alzheimer disease. I know my mom,I love her and this is not her. I wonder if dad and siyter just don't want to see that because it' too scary. It's easier to think she just became mean and angry and decided to forger how to use phone or remote. I am scared for her and incredibly sad. I know no one can help her anymore. She is still in early phase but it's worsening fast. Should I tell her? I am afraid she is going to be devastated but she deserves to know what is happening does she?

Dear Biba_yu.
I am so sorry you are in this distressing situation. I wish I knew what to advise but sadly I don't. Perhaps a talk with a licensed physician would be helpful to you before making any decisions. Sorry I do not know how to be helpful to you. I hope things get better. Sincerely yours, Yao Wen |

Thank you for your kindness. I agree, first we need to confirm diagnosis. I hope that I might be wrong, there are some conditions that can mimic this horrible disease but are treatable. I think that should be the first step.
